Welcome to the website of The Omagh Gardening Society (OGS).
The OGS welcomes all who are interested in Gardening. This applies to those with small or large gardens including those who may just have a window box or two. No gardening experience is necessary!
It is all about sharing of ideas and participating in a varied programme of events which are there to be enjoyed. This includes regular meetings, speakers, arranging shows, competitions and outings.
The Club is friendly and has about 65 members. It meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, (excepting July, August and December) in the Silverbirch Hotel at 7.30pm. At the end of the evening there is an opportunity to chat to fellow members and exchange plants/bulbs.
The feature event of the year is the Annual Spring Flower and Daffodil Show held in May where all entries are of the flowering kind. The event is followed by the Annual Dinner. Other events include the St Patrick’s Day Parade and Best Kept Garden Competition.
The AGM is in October. Annual Membership is £10.00 single and £15.00 family (due each January). November concludes the programme with a prominent speaker. This event usually takes place in the Strule Arts Centre.
The Club is affiliated to the RHS.
So why not come along - a WARM WELCOME AWAITS.
